International Visual Merchandising Coordinator - Dorothy Perkins & Burton (12month FTC)

The Role:

We already know a thing or two about making our customer feel great but that doesn’t stop us constantly looking for new ways to drive the business forward.

As well as our Retail and Digital channels, our International presence continues to grow with our Wholesale and Franchise partnerships.

Day to Day:

Brand and Business Focus

  • Use commercial acumen and business awareness to make visual decisions in collaboration with the franchise partners
  • Supports the franchise partners with the Model Store/new season launch, trend and creative planning, layout and graphic sign off
  • Work with the international business manager and franchise partners to develop market specific VM strategies in order to support market development
  • Supports the UK visual team with monthly Instore Now set ups to keep updated with the UK visual strategies and VM brand knowledge


  • Rewriting and updating Model store communication ensuring they are relevant for franchise markets
  • Produces and formats a separate The Edit rack up and communication booklet for DP & Burton to support each partner with product arriving in their markets monthly
  • Writes and produces specific international launch booklets for international only collections such as Chinese New Year and EID
  • Adapts weekly VM updates for international markets to allow them to work and react commercially

Supporting the Business

  • Works to support new and existing partners with the new store opening process from project sign off to store opening day
  • The IVMC will support franchise partners in market with new modernized store set ups and conduct brand specific training in conjunction with the opening
  • Works directly with buying and merchandising teams to influence stock allocations to ensure credible trends are sent to each market

Working with People

  • The IVMC is responsible for working and building credible relationships with existing and new franchise partners with devising and delivering of their VM strategy for each season with a collaborative approach
  • The IVMCs will support franchise partners in market with new and modernized store set ups and conduct brand specific training in conjunction with the opening

Graphics & Workflow Management

  • Collaborates with the creative teams for DP & Burton to ensure all artwork for Model Store and window launches uploaded to connex in appropriate time for partners to locally produce
  • Briefs in specific artwork briefs and international only artwork to ensure imagery is appropriate for the market

Must Haves:

  • Possess excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Suitable for someone currently at a field VM level or equivalent
  • Strong visual merchandising and styling experience
  • Strong training and coaching skills, ability to motivate others
  • Keen interest in fashion and knowledge of the fashion retail and competitors
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office
  • Fully flexible to travel in the UK & Internationally at short notice
