The Role:

Work with the Distribution & Logistics Manager to carry out the distribution duties and responsibilities, supporting the wider Logistics team as required. Develop an understanding of the processes involved in distribution and the interaction between Buying & Merchandising teams, the DC and external partners.

Day to Day:

  • Work alongside the Distribution Centre, Buying and Merchandising teams, Group Logistics and Senior
  • Management teams to achieve weekly despatch targets
  • Manage and identify brand despatch requirements, highlighting issues and working through solutions
  • to achieve weekly cash and unit despatch targets
  • Support Line Manager with in house and external processing reporting, priorities and flow of stock in
  • the Distribution Centre
  • Manage Head Office sample ordering process
  • Carry out regular and ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
  • Support the wider logistics team as required

Must Haves:

  • Be future focused and use learnings to drive the business within area of influence
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and to challenging deadlines
  • The ability to manage time effectively by setting and achieving priorities and timescales
  • Commercially aware and can demonstrate a strong understanding of the UK High Street
  • Be a confident and effective communicator who builds relationships quickly and works well in a team
  • Possess good problem solving skills and the initiative to resolve issues
  • Possess strong analytical/numerical skills
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
  • Experience of working in a retail distribution environment with an understanding of DC processes and
  • stock management/product availability issues would be desirable
