To assist the Dorothy Perkins and Burton Menswear Head Office HR team with administration duties and to provide a generalist HR support to the junior level population.


  • Plan induction timetables & welcome meetings for new starters when required
  • Inform the Systems & Training department of new starters and their requirements, ordering laptops, mobiles, company cars where necessary and keep accurate logs
  • Update all recruitment reports and trackers on a regular basis and distribute weekly, highlighting any issues or risk areas
  • Complete all new starter first day business inductions
  • Administer travel cards advising Payroll of deductions, organising changeover cards, duplicate tickets and ticket returns
  • Maintain Holiday & Absence system, answering all queries and producing analysis as requested
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date Start/Leave/Change log
  • Maintain Brands monthly Publishing Pack, Headcount Summary and Structure Charts Collate employment offers for approval on a weekly basis in line with Brand processes and timescales, extending offers accordingly


  • Ability to prioritise and manage several activities simultaneously
  • Effective communication at all levels
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly organised with excellent administration skills
  • Computer literate – Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc
  • Experience of some generalist HR practice
  • Desire to learn and be involved in HR practice
  • Genuine interest in the retail fashion industry
  • Drive and commitment
